    Can you take a screenshot?

    Also, try turning off all your plugins, and see if you can edit.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks all for the replies. I did find the culprit and it was a plug-in. I took everybodys suggestions and deactivated my plug-ins and reactivated them one by one until I found the problem one (links builder plugin). I am BACK IN BUSINESS!!!!!!!
