Edited parent theme by mistake!

  • Im a WP beginner and I only learnt about child themes after Ive made all changes to the parent theme. I made a lot of changes and theres no way Im starting over. Ive seen topics like this before but havent found the answer im looking for. This is how i’d attempt to solve the problem.

    Copy the entire style.css file from parent theme, and paste it into styl.css file in child theme. Then delete my parent themes style.css file, and replace it with the original unedited file (I have a backup).

    Would this work?
