• Hi All,

I am busy playing around with user roles and capabilities and wanted to know where I change/edit the wordpress page which display “Unauthorized Action”.

There are some categories which are restricted for visitors on my site, but I would like to edit this page to display more details, such as “Register (Hyperlinked) to view this category. View page here – https://www.sweepbook.com/adults/rate-my-bum/

  • Sounds like you are trying to control access to content through membership. Instead of working with user roles, it might suit you better to use one of the membership plugins out there. Sounds like it might suit your use case better than what you are currently trying. Just Google wordpress membership plugin for a selection of them. Some are free, some are freemium, and some are paid plugins.

thanks, I already have Advanced Access Manager installed to control membership. The only think I would like to do is locate the worpdress error page which display “Unauthorized Action” which I would like to edit.

to change error page css edit the file in \wp-admin\css\install.css

however editing the core files is not suggested as with every update these changes will be over-written.

Had a look in install.css, but did not find the text to edit? I’m really not sure where to find this page.
