    Hi there,

Since this morning I am having an iddue with elementor, despite not having updated anything.

The issue is, that until yesterday when I was editing a page in elementor it did not show the sidebar. Now out of a sudden, it shows the sidebar (1) but I cannot edit it in elementor, and it packed all the blocks that were previously separated (2) in one single text block (3)

the live page still look the same, but nit causes problem when I need to edit it.

I have not done any update this night so I don’t know what’s causing the problem and how I can solve the issue.

Any suggestion would be really appreciated

    Hi,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I can see and understand why you face the issue. If you edit a page/post with Elementor the content of your classic editor is transferred to the Elementor screen only the first time to avoid destroying your layout created with Elementor in case someone by mistake clicks and edits the page in the classic editor.

You need to choose if you want to use Elementor to edit your normal post or not at the beginning and keep using that only. If you want to use the classic editor and then transfer that layout / text block in Elementor, it will happen only the first time you edit with Elementor.

In this case, you had edited this before once? when the demo texts were added, which is what it shows now as it should. You can copy your Gutenberg content fully switching to the classic editor mode and copying that over to the elementor screen manually WordPress: Switch to Classic Editor from Block Editor (and back again) (clickwp.com).

Also, it’s a bad idea to switch between Elementor and the classic editor, as it will create unexpected layout issues.

I hope I was able to explain the situation.

    Have a great day/evening.

    Best Regards,
