I understand that you would like to change the total of a manual order by applying a discount.

This is possible. When manually adding an order you are able to apply coupons, apply fees and calculate totals, as seen in the screenshot below:

I understand you want to edit an order created manually.

You can only change the total of a manual order if the order status is either ‘Pending payment’ or ‘On hold’. If the order status is completed it would not be possible to edit the total of the manual order.

You should see a pencil icon just next to the total price of the product.

However, this could happen if your order status is not either in ‘Pending payment’ or ‘On hold’. Try to change the order status to either of these options and see if the edit (pencil) icon would appear.

You are able to click on the pencil icon next to the order, select the pricing and enter the amount you prefer, and click on save.

This should update the total price.

This is a bit strange, I would suggest you do a plugin conflict test
?
The best way to determine this is to:

• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.`

Could you try and remake another manual order and see if the issue persists?

Also, please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Hello,

I’m unable to replicate your issue. I can edit the total on my test sites which has the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and Storefront (default) theme.

Just to clarify, the pencil icon doesn’t show up by itself. You have to hoover your cursor over to the item area. Then the pencil and x symbol appear.

Just to check if we are on the same page, you want to edit the total of the order by keeping the product price and not adding coupons, correct?

If so, unfortunately, this is not possible. The total amount of the order is automatically calculated based on the items in the order.

To change the total amount, besides the product price, you can add other products, fees, shipping, taxes or apply coupons. Get to know more here:
