edit the same post at same time

  • Hi,

    I see we can edit the same pos at the same time with different authors.
    In the backend we usually get notification when someone trying to edit the post which being edited by someone else.

    Can we have a warning/protection for the same case when users edit the post in frontend at same time??

  • I’m going to try it, do you mean the 2 user’s with roles of “author” can edit from the front end at the same time? or are they both admins?

    Waw thanks. The 2 users can both authors, editors or administrator.
    They all have edit post capabilities.

    I thought authors could only edit their own? no?
    Anyway I have to test this myself, thanks for the heads up on the issue.

    Yes indeed, authors can only edit their own posts.
    The case can happen with this possibility :

    – author edit their post also editor / administrator
    – editor edit the post also the administrator

    yep, no good.
