• Are there any plans to add the ability to edit the site info/copyright content, where the “Proudly Powered by WordPress | Theme: Ixion by Automattic” text displays at the bottom of each page/post?

Perhaps in the Customizer as a separate “Site Info” option? Or in Theme Options or Widgets?

Any of the three options would be useful, and would make it easier than having to create a footer.php file in the child theme.

There aren’t currently plans to add a Customizer option for this. We try to keep Customizer options to a minimum, and the credit can easily be removed or modified via the built-in Customizer CSS panel.

Thank you for the reply, Kathryn. Sorry it won’t be considered as an option in the Customizer. Is it something that would be considered for Theme Options or as a Widget?

I don’t know of any way to use CSS to modify or delete the words “Proudly Powered by WordPress | Theme: Ixion by Automattic.”

Using the CSS hiding technique of “display: none” is not an option; I want to edit the text with name of my client’s organization.

In that case you’ll need to make a child theme – sorry I don’t have an alternative workaround.
