Edit/publish date on my page

At the top of all my pages is an edit date which gives my name as the webmaster and the date that displays is the date that I created the page, not the date it was last updated – eg. “BY: SUZIE ON: 30/12/2020” on the above web page.

I have worked out how to change this date on the edit page, but I would like to know if it is possible to:

(a) Remove this section completely and if so how?
(b) Amend the settings so that it displays the date the page was last updated or edited, as it is not helpful to anyone to have the date it was originally published?
