• In Finland, and many other European countries, it is normal to display all prices including the tax (VAT). Currently BizSwoop POS plugin displays all prices without VAT, when prices are being edited in the POS view. This makes it really difficult to give fixed sum discounts, because the price would need to be calculated before entering it to the price field, slowing down the checkout process too much. It would be great to have the option to display all prices with VAT in the POS view, and to have the option to switch this feature on/off in the settings. This is currently the only feature keeping us from switching to your plugin. I hope you keep up the good work.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the feedback.

We are working on a couple of development features to change the VAT tax functionality in the POS.

To clarify, we want to make sure we understand fully the use case as we work to release new VAT based features. The behavior you mentioned is when the cashier modifies the current Product price in the POS, right now we are showing the Product Price without VAT to modify.

The recommended behavior you would like to see, when a cashier clicks to modify the Product Price, the price shown is the Product Price including VAT. So when a cashier inputs a modified Product Price, this includes the VAT. Are we understanding the use case behavior you are describing and requesting?

Let us know if this is the correct, so we can evaluate how to support this workflow, if we’ve misunderstood, please include an example or even a screenshot would be very helpful to make sure we are evaluating the correct functionality for VAT.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, you understood my suggestion correctly. For American customers, your current workflow is very good, but for most European countries, editing the price with VAT included would make it way more usable.

Thanks for the confirmation and the information about Product Price editing with VAT included for European countries.

The good news, our new improvements for Tax functionality in the POS will address this issue and provide you as an admin the ability to manage that functionality.

Now under the Tax settings for WooCommerce, option

    Prices entered with tax

    As shown in this screenshot
    https://ibb.co/rm4jy3K

The POS Product Price edit setting will be mapped to this WooCommerce setting.

    For example, if you select:
Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax.

In the POS, when clicking edit Product Price in the cart, we will show the price with VAT included.

and the opposite, if you select:
Yes, I will enter prices exclusive of tax

In the POS, when clicking edit Product Price in the cart, we will show the price without VAT included. (Which is the current behavior)

The new Product Price Edit settings and functionality will allow the POS to support all international countries and their Tax requirements.

The new update will be included in our next release, we hope to have it released by next week. We’ll leave the forum post open until the release is live.

In our recent release version 2.2.1+, we’ve officially provided support for the functionality described above for the price management on the cart for the product using the Prices entered with tax setting in WooCommerce.

Hopefully this will help aid in the efficient use of the POS for your business operation.
