I’ve got the shortcode [wpuf_edit] on the page “Edit Book Post,” and that page selected in the plugin settings Frontend Posting –> Edit Page area. I have no restrictions set on editing posts, and I have new posts set to default to Published. I have the plugin set to override the native WP edit post screen.

When I click “Edit Post” in the admin bar on the front end, it does take me to the “Edit Book Post” page with the plugin-defined form, but making changes and clicking the Update button just results in the screen sitting there with a grey spinner icon next to the Update button. I’ve checked on the backend and it’s not updating anything. None of the post info is updating per the edits made, and the “Edit Book Post” screen is not redirecting to the post.

I’m the only user on my site and am the admin (of course). Any ideas?

    Hi?@justbishop,

Facing an issue with the edit post submission not functioning.

→ Have you checked for any theme or plugin conflicts on your website? It appears there might be a conflict on your site. So, you’ll need to investigate if it’s coming from any other plugin.

Please make sure that you’ve already done the conflict test. If you haven’t yet, please follow the below procedures for testing purposes.

    • Deactivate all plugins except the latest version of the WP User Frontend Plugin.
    • Use a default theme, such as twenty-twenty or twenty-twenty-one.
    • Use the default language on your website.
    • Make sure you’re using PHP version 8.1 on your website.
    • Clear your site cache as well as the browser cache, and try the process again.

If you are still having the problem, then kindly contact through the website for further assistance.

    Regards!
