Edit Post – Maintain Hierachy (Hierarchy) of Categories?

  • Hey all,

    I’m trying to get the categories in the Edit or Add Post area to stay in their correct hierarchy – if some are selected and you return to editing the post, they reflow so the selected ones are out of hierarchy at the top.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    (This is a repost of the same idea a year ago.. still no solution!)

  • I’m so completely sick of this problem. It’s been out there for more than a YEAR and all I can find is dozens closed forum topics with no resolution. In all the years I’ve been using WordPress, nothing has been as collectively frustrating for me and all my users as this issue, and there’s only been silence.

    If topics are going to be closed to further comments, WordPress admins, at least post a link to the Trac entry or the correct forum post! This is bull****.
