edit post link gone – installation in subdirectory

  • Dear WordPress-friends.
    I have a curious problem. I have installed wordpress in a subdirectory and have done so many times before without problems.

    This time however, my “edit post” – Link is gone even when I am definitely logged in.

    I have searched the forums and found someone else with this problem. A user asked him if he had installed in subdirectory but has not offered a solution.

    This makes me assume that the problem might have to do with the subdirectory-thing (even if I have done that many times before).

    Anyone have an idea?

  • It’s unlikely to be related to a sub-directory install. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
