We gave some user roles the permission to “create_posts” and “edit_posts”. In the dashboard the users can edit the posts but on the top of the frontend the button “Edit Post” doesnt exist.

    Where is the problem?

Strange behavior. I can just suppose that some plugin may be involved. Try to deactivate all plugins temporally and re-test. If you will see ‘Edit Post’ link, activate plugins back one by one in order to isolate a conflict.
