[Plugin: Page Security by Contexture] "Edit Post" fields broken

  • For some reason my blog won’t update this plugin to the newest. It kept saying that I have 1.5 DEV every time to update it via Dashboard or even try to update it manually via FTP. I even tried deleting the plugin and re-install it with the latest update (1.5.x) and it still says “1.5 DEV”.

    In addition, the Edit Post fields disappear (whenever I try to edit my post) because of this new update. When I deactivate it the fields appear again.

    I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong except trying to update a plugin that won’t automatically update for some strange reason. Any advice? Thanks!

    www.remarpro.com’s plugin system has malfunctioned and is serving the trunk development build instead of the tagged stable releases. WE HAVE NOT RELEASED 1.5 AND IT IS EXTREMELY UNSTABLE.

    Please download 1.4.5 (the version that SHOULD be appearing on www.remarpro.com) from our support website and follow the directions for installing it over the dev build:

    I have done everything in my power to try to fix this, but the problem is clearly with the www.remarpro.com website, over which I have no control whatsoever. I contacted www.remarpro.com plugin staff by email yesterday morning, but have not heard back.

    If you see one of our releases with X or DEV in the title, DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT. We do not formally release development builds, and this one is out there only because of a glitch in the WordPress plugin hosting service.

    I am also working as hard as I can to get the trunk build stable, so that at the very least the version that people are downloading won’t be terribly broken.

    Depending on how things go, an “official” 1.5.0 might be available as soon as tonight. I am very sorry that this version got out, but I’m doing everything in my power to fix it as soon as absolutely possible.

    Thanks for the update. It just so happened that it appeared on the “Updates” section of the dashboard so I thought it was a brand-new update. I’ll go ahead and revert it back to 1.4.5, thanks!

    I just updated from 1.4.5 to 1.5.1 and now when I go to edit a post, it takes ages and then I get a blank screen.

    I reverted to 1.4.5 for now.

    Running WP 3.1.2

    Now I’m getting worried about the upgrade. Will wait first to see what’s going on with this issue also.

    I decided to test the new update myself. Looks like I haven’t gotten any problems with it. All the “Edit Post” and “Edit Page” functions are working properly.
