Edit Plugin wp-content\plugins folder

    Hi,

    Is it okay to edit a plugin directly in \wp-content\plugins folder ?

    The plugin doesn’t have an option to bring the plugin files inside the child theme.

    Any help is appreciated.

    An answer to your question, is no. For a very simple reason once the plugin is updated your code will be removed.

    In case you need to extend any plugin code the safest & recommended way is through hooks.
