Edit placeholder text in user description

    Hi, may I know how can I edit the placeholder text “Tell me a bit about yourself…” in user description under profile header?

    You can by using the “Say What?” plugin and use ultimate-member as the Text domain:

    I tried the plugin many times but the text still no change. Dunno why…
    Any clue?

    The original text from the UM Core script which you replace is:
    Tell us a bit about yourself...

    You may have an English translation where wordings are changed.

    Yes. This is exactly what I typed in as original text. But it just won’t be replaced by my own text. Something else missing?

    Look at the UM version 2.5.3 core script source and verify the text at line 1239 in
    ../plugins/ultimate-member/includes/core/um-actions-profile.php

    I tried with this setting in “Say What?” column 1, 2, 4:
    Tell us a bit about yourself... ultimate-member Tell all of us a bit about yourself...

    It works fine both when I have set WP language to “English (United States)” and with “Swedish”. I get the column 4 text in both languages.

    I verified the core file very carefully. Change WP language from English UK to English United States, but the user description placeholder just won’t change… ??

    Server side caching or a WP Caching Plugin may give you old page texts.

    Read this guide about how to disable caching for all UM pages:
