Edit Permalinks Button Not Working

  • Anyone else having an issue with a non-responsive edit permalink button? Sometimes I put a placeholder for my post title when I save it as a draft, then go back and change the title when I’m ready to publish. I usually edit the permalink at that point as well to match the title, but for some reason it suddenly has become non-responsive. I click it, but nothing happens. I don’t think I changed anything (haven’t added plugins, etc.). Any clue what might be wrong?

    try:
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fourteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.
