• One of our sites has a custom theme which is misbehaving in the Admin.

The Edit Permalink button and the Add/Edit Tag button are not functioning.
However the Permalinks button works fine in -Pages- and other taxonomies.

I cannot say exactly when this began, but it is probably within the past week or so. I’ve tried disabling various plug-ins to no avail.

When we switch to the std TwentyTen theme it works fine, but I’m at a loss as to what is in the theme… which has no code directed towards the admin screen… would have affected it. We really haven’t made any obvious changes to the template pages recently.

But obviously there is -something- in the theme which is causing it. The only clue is that it affects -Posts- but not -Pages-.

    Ideas?

  • There’s no easy answer to this. I think you’ll need to start by removing one template at a time from your theme (with the exception of index.php) until you find the file that is causing the problem.

Thanks. There appears to be a conflict between the google jquery.min I have registered in functions.php and the wp-admin.

What’s maddening is that apparently this just started a few days ago and there has been -no- change to any of those php files or the javascript. Maybe it started with updating WP to 3.2.1 but I can’t be sure because none of the users recall when it started happening.

All I know is that when I remove the called to jquery the wp-admin works again.

Any ideas on how to have both working at the same time?
