Edit page without publishing it?
-
Hi
I use WP as a CMS and it works great.
Recently i created a site for a customer and got a “feature question” that i could not answer.
I have digged through the documentation and the web. With no result.
Cenario:
1. A page has been created at a earlier state and the “editor” starts to edit the page in the admin interface.
2. After a while of editing he hits the ‘preview button’ and the page is shown for him. So far so good.
3. At this stage the “editor” wants to save his changes without publishing, so he can continue editing at a later time. I cant find this function!Am i missing something here??
The only workaround i have found is to set the ‘autosave’ function to 30 sek. And when the editor leaves the edit-mode without hitting the ‘publish button’ he gets the warning that the ‘changes will be lost’. Editor ignores this. The next time he enters editing mode he can choose to view the ‘autosaved version’ and use this version.
This is not the way i want to go with “unexperienced etitors”Sulution please ???
