Edit page skips to the top

  • When I open an edit page and the content has a scroll bar, I go to the bottom to start adding text, and the view of the page jumps back to the very top. The cursor stays at the bottom and I can type the text into the post, but I cannot see what I am typing. Very frustrating.
    I am using Highlight theme, child of Mesmerize. But, I am not sure if this is a WordPress bug or theme bug.

  • This is a case when you can use the Health Check plugin’s Troubleshoot mode to disable the theme and plugins for your user only, to isolate the code with the problem.
    It is more likely to be a plugin than the theme, but who knows?

    I tried the health check. I have no inactive themes or plugins and it is still doing it. Any other thoughts?

    This sounds like you didn’t actually use the Troubleshoot mode, which would disable all themes and plugins.
    What do you do to “go to the bottom and start adding text”?
    Which editor are you using?
    Which WP version are you using?
    Which browser are you using?
