edit page is blank until update is clicked

  • Hi, I have a page that displays properly on the site but when I try to edit the page the editor opens blank or sometimes just showing the red squiggly lines under some words.

    Strange thing is that if I click ‘update’, the text appears but I can’t edit it. Clicking the ‘visual’ and or ‘text’ in the editor doesn’t work.
    Any ideas anyone?

    p.p.s. the site has just been ‘renovated’ following extensive damage sustained through the mailpoet plugin vulnerability (I was on my hols and not keeping up). I have moved a lot around and deleted lots, maybe I ‘broke’ something somewhere.
