Edit Page and Edit Post not updating

Hello. I manage a website for a regional chapter of a nonprofit. The nonprofit created a theme and provides me a somewhat reduced wordpress dashboard/editor.

Yesterday morning 6 Feb 2015 all was well. Yesterday evening, my edits stopped working. I edit a page, choose ‘update’, and what happens is the editor refreshes to the list of posts (odd), and when I return, in wordpress, to the page I edited, the prior version is there instead. My edits vanished (and of course do not show in the published website either).

I tried adding a new post, and this half-worked. When I choose ‘publish’, it also refreshes to the list of posts. The post I just created is shown. When I return to edit that post, the new post content is there, but the title has been changed to “Resgi” and the post is saved as a draft only. (Editing again with a different title… same result).

I have tried logging off and logging back in to wordpress; exiting and restarting the browser; and two different browsers (safari and firefox). Behavior repeats.

I have searched the forums and get the sense I should reload plugins or something. However in my reduced wordpress dashboard environment, I don’t see how to do that.

Is there anything I can do? Do I need to ask the organization that manages the overall website and theme?
