edit Number of post-type taxonomy per page on the backend

I’m trying to edit the number of terms to show on the taxonomy admin page. normaly you can edit that easily from the Screen options’ menu :

but whatever number that I put there, it always goes back to 20.

is this normal ? or else there maybe a cause for this ?
