• Hello all!

I’ve got a strange little bug on my site which I’m hoping someone would have come accross before, here’s my site.

    https://www.intelligent-investment.co.uk/

The problem is when you do a client login to this site (I use the s2member plugin) .. press on that big green button top left, then username:test, password:test .. it logs you in and everything apart from this works just fine, but if you click on the WordPress header admin bar and click to ‘Edit my Profile’ nothing happens, oddly if you login as admin that link works just fine.

Something I’ve just noticed, it goes to https://www.intelligent-investment.co.uk/redirect.php which is where the s2member plugin is set take you once you login (so that’ll it’ll send you back to the home page .. something my client requested for this site), I’ve tried changing this to any page on the site and you still get the same bug where this link doesn’t work.

So then I’ve tried a bit of digging to figure this out and if you go to the link which you should be getting (https://www.intelligent-investment.co.uk/wp-admin/profile.php) that still doesn’t work, weird hur?

This did used to work and I’ve been testing elements as I’ve gone on now I’ve tried this and it’s stopped working, how odd.

    Any ideas suggestions much appriciated.

  • Hello,

I would really appreciate if you could share the resolution if you ever found one… I just noticed that i have the exact same issue?:
??edit my profile link?? work great when im logged in as admin but doesn’t as a user. I need to have my users to be able to access this page to be able to upload an avatar (I use Simple Local Avatars plugin).
I also use S2member and it redirects to the log in welcome page. Same if i disable the log in welcome page, it brings me to a random page in the bbpress forum.

I thought it was a firewall issue but I disabled everything i could and it still didn’t fix the issue.

I’ll ask on S2members side as well but if anyone have a resolution for this, it will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Emmanuel

I actually found the answer 10 min after posting that, so here the solution…
    It is a s2member thing:
in s2 general options -> member profile modification -> make sure it is set to NO (YES will lock the /wp-admin/ areas).

So here, that’s fixed, my users can change their avatar, and im freaking happy! Jeez after 4hours!
