edit look and feel for archive page for custom post type

    How do I edit the custom post type archive page layout? I would like to enable it to allow for gutenberg editing like the custom post type pages can be edited when the rest api is enabled. Please provide how to edit the archive page and enable gutenberg edits. Thank you kindly
