Edit links broken after changing Blog URL setting

I had a testing version of my blog that I was working on so I never changed the Blog URL setting in the beginning. Now that I want the site to go live, I don’t want the /wordpress/ directory to show in the address. I changed the Blog URL setting and everything works fine, except when I’m logged in as admin, my edit links do not show up and the Site Admin link isn’t there.

Any ideas as to why this may be happening?
