I want to change the ENTIRE URL for photos in “ADD MEDIA”. I need to add photos that will link to actual product’s URL that isn’t located on my blog – but to the brand I am writing reviews for. The new media will not allow me to change the entire URL. :bangs head against wall: Please fix this!

  • Can you demonstrate this with a link that you find problems with?

    What?

Ok – When you go to ADD MEDIA, and you ADD A PHOTO, your photo has a URL. In the past, you can CHANGE the URL of that MEDIA PHOTO but now you CANNOT DELETE the URL to ADD A NEW URL. You can’t demonstrate that.

Here is an example. I have a photo the brand sent me to include in my review post. I downloaded it and saved it to my computer. I am in the process of writing the review and I am ready to insert the image.

Here is the problem. The new ADD MEDIA will not allow me to change the URL for this photo. I would like this photo to have the URL to the brand’s website, so if someone clicks the photo it goes to their website. However, the new ADD MEDIA will not allow me to change the URL.

    [/IMG]

That would be expected behaviour. That link is the link to the uploaded image – needed to actually display the image. If you want to use the image to link to some place else, then insert the image initially with no link and then add the link in the same way you would to turn a word or phrase into a link.

Actually, I just figured that out but now my photo isn’t showing up at all. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.
