I need to change this language.

“Your registration was successful but you must now be approved by an administrator before you can log in. You will be notified by e-mail once your account has been reviewed.”

I’ve tried editing the .pot file but it won’t apply the changes. What am I doing wrong?

To change the strings using translation files, you’d need to actually create the translation files for your locale. For instance, theme-my-login-en_US.po and theme-my-login-en_US.mo.

And put them where Jeff? Apologies for my ignorance. I’ve never worked with these types of files. I use notepad++, work with child themes, ftp, etc for everything and it works fine.

Can I edit them with these with that? Then what? Tell it to me like I’m five. Thanks.

    Hi.

You should download POedit or find a WordPress plugin for modifying .pot / .po-files.

First, verify your language isn’t already been translated in /wp-content/languages/plugins for theme-my-login_[language_code].po/.mo.

If not then use POedit to open the .pot file and create your own .po/.mo-files which you can then upload to /wp-content/languages/plugins. A .pot file is – afaik – a kind of template file and you can find it in /wp-content/plugins/theme-my-login/languages.

    Hope this helps.
