Edit images url before call

  • Hi,

    I would like to edit the url of the images so that I can resize them accordingly and avoid ‘Serve scaled images’ warning I get from Google.

    Could you point me to the file and line of code I should be looking at?

    Hi stemon,

    Our plugin uses Instagram’s API to serve images. They offer three options, 150 pixel wide, 320 pixel wide, and 640 pixel wide. Our plugin will automatically use the best option for the actual size of the image on the page but you can also set this explicitly on the “Customize” tab.

    So there isn’t any way to change the url of the images but you can edit the sb-instagram.min.js file to set up a different system if you’d like.

    We’ve also had people find success by modifying their feeds slightly so that the images come very close to the optimized width according to the options from Instagram’s API.
