Edit Image/Rotate not working – need suggestions

  • I am trying to edit an image. It has been uploaded to the Media Library. I am clicking the Edit Image button. I want to use the rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise buttons, but they have no effect on the image.

    • WordPress is 4.7.3
    • All plugins off. Cache is cleared.
    • Custom theme or Twenty Seventeen. Doesn’t work in either.
    • I have tried iOS Images Fixer, Image Rotation Fixer, Regenerate Thumbnails.

    Nothing working so far.

    The image was originally taken and uploaded from an iPad, but even on my Windows 7 PC I can not get an image to rotate after it has been uploaded.

    Any suggestions for what I can try next.

  • I am having the same problem on my site. When I click on the Edit Image button, I only get a broken image link and cannot edit anything. GD Library is installed and enabled on the server.
