Edit image title / name in post

  • Hi guys. This is an amazing plugin. I was just wondering, is there any way to rename / retitle the image file directly from the post window without having to go back to the media library? I had a look but it only allows alternative text and caption changes in the post itself. (I am using classic editor)

    Hi @wnihq2022,
    it would be useful to change the filename directly into the editor, but it is tricky because Phoenix Media Rename changes the filename in the database and the editor would replace the data with the original filename when the post is saved.

    I’d like the idea to add this feature, but I never found a good way to ensure the consistency of the filenames, I’m open to suggestion on how to implement this feature ??

    Would there be a way to create a new box field when you open Image details where you could just add the url slug below caption and when you hit update, it re-writes the filename url in the database and in the post?

    Not sure how that would work but was how I saw it visually.
