Edit Icons Sometimes Missing in version 2.8 plus

  • I have never seen this problem in version 2.7, but immediately after upgrading to 2.8, when I went to add a new post I found the edit icons missing. Since upgrading to 2.8.1, sometimes they are present, sometimes they are not.

    I have tried 2 of our sites which are on 2.8.1 and they both have the same problem. The sites still on 2.7 do not have this problem.

    Any thoughts gratefully appreciated. The “Disable the visual editor when writing” is NOT ticked on any of the sites.
