Edit Gallery – square thumbnails vs portrait and lanscape

  • I love gallery feature, but it is difficult to rearrange a mix of portrait and landscape images. In the Edit Gallery all images show as cropped square. So I have to remember each image original orientation if I want to rearrange them – portrait next to portrait and landscape next to landscape images. I would suggest to show the images as thumbnails, but not cropped.

    I hope it makes sense to show the images in the Gallery editor window the real way they are which is not always square. My Thumbnail size in Media Settings is 200 (W) x 400 (H), “Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions” is not checked.
