Edit from Page option is now missing

  • Hello!

    Last week I could open any of my pages while being signed in as the adminstrator and see an “Edit” option at the bottom of each page. I would click “Edit” and it would take me directly to the page to edit it. Now, the “Edit” option is missing on each page so I have to locate each page individually to make changes. Will someone please help me reclaim my edit option?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi!

    I’ve gone through the list that you sent. I’ve deactivated all and then reactivated one by one. That didn’t do anything.

    I already had Twenty Ten theme, but I installed another theme and then reinstalled Twenty Ten. That didn’t work.

    Then I went through the FTP instructions and renamed the plugins folder and that didn’t work either. It must be a plugin though. The edit button was working fine last week. I even deleted all of the recent plugins.

    Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated!

    The ‘Edit this page’ link will only appear if you are logged into your WordPress site. Check that you are logged in before viewing the page and then see if the edit link is there.

    Hi there!

    I believe I’m logged in. I go to https://eondreamteam.com/wordpress/wp-admin/ and then from there pull up a page. I make the edits and then “view page”. When I’m viewing the page, there is not “edit” button at the bottom. There used to be, but there isn’t any longer.
