I installed a fresh WordPress and Event Espresso as the only plugin.

But the Edit event page is not working. Here are the symptoms:

    – The Event datetime & ticket expand/collapse is empty
    – If I click on Sold Out [edit] in the sidebar, nothing happens.
    – The expresso-notice block is displayed below everything

  • Hey there,

This sounds like a conflict with a theme. Can you try using one of the default themes, like Twenty Fifteen?

Hi Jonathan, it’s already Twenty Fifteen.

Can you check for errors in your Chrome Web Developer tools, or another browser developer tool like FireBug for Firefox?

I have also checked, there is no error in the console. It’s strange. I’ll try to delete everything and re-intall.

Re-tested : install WordPress, install Event Espresso : not working.
I move to the next event plugin ??

Sorry to hear you are still having trouble. Do you know what version of PHP your server is running? Event Espresso (as well as other WP plugins) no longer supports PHP version 5.2 or lower.

    Can you verify this?

    It was 5.5 and I tried 5.6.

Ok I found. It’s a language problem. I installed WordPress in french. I tested to set language to english and now it works.

Or maybe it’s a date problem ? Just after change the language I got this error :

The following date time “October 15, 2015 20 h 17 min” ( F j, Y G \h i \m\i\n ) can not be properly parsed by PHP due to its format and may cause incompatibility issues with Event Espresso. You will need to choose a more standard date time format in order for everything to operate correctly.
Please note that your date and time formats have been reset to “F j, Y” and “g:i a” respectively.

Edit: I confirm it’s a date/locale problem. I re-switched to french and it’s still working. I presume because of the date and time formats reset.

Is it a bug in Event Espresso ? Or locale on my hosting ?

    Hey there,

Thank you for working with us here. Can you please try to switch to English, then back to French in the General Settings of the WordPress Dashboard?
