Edit Domain

  • Hi!

    I downloaded wordpress to edit a website that I already own. How do I link the domain I own to wordpress so I can edit it through wordpress?

    Welcome to WordPress!

    It seems like you are thinking that WordPress is an application for editing an existing website, but it functions differently than that. WP is a platform/interface for creating websites that have both a database & files (like images). You will probably want to start reading here:

    You WILL be able to use your domain, but you will have to create a WP site in WP, and migrate any content (text, images, links) you want to keep over into the new site.
