Edit Comment Gives a Blank Page

Disable all plugins anyway, and revert to the default theme. Does that make any difference? Post a link to your website and I’ll take a look.

Thnx steve for the help, but the problem lies in the administrator edit-comment panel,/wp-admin/edit-comments.php , whenever I try to access it , it gives me a blank page and the number 54 on the top right. I haven’t added any plugins recently but I’ll try and post back soon.

I tried disabling all the plugins, I also tried upgrading to 2.6.1, still I get the same thing. I recall it started happening after I got hit with lots of spam comments , don’t know if this has anything to do with it .

You could try going into your database in phpmyadmin, then export the wp_comments table, then empty it (browse it, select all, drop). If the problem goes away its’ something in one of yoru comments doing it.

Might be a good idea to back up your whole database first! If you’re not confident with that, export your posts from within the WP admin screen first.

I don’t know how to thank you Steve. Emptying the wp_comments table did manage to resolve the issue. It looks like one of the comments damaged the table. But it’s now fixed. And thank you again you’ve been a great help .

aha, i have had the same problem for ages on the family reunion site.

and one of the contributors just mailed me she got loads of trackback mails every day… i did try to undo all of that but whenever i wanted to edit, i struck blank pages. i logged out and tried to log in again, but everything turned blank on me.
so i didn’t bother trying until this evening, because my relative had to empty her junkfolder every day, hundreds of mails.

i tried to get in and it worked. still when i try to edit comments, i can only delete them one by one.. now up to 368 pages of them. ouch.

i will try the database and do as suggested here. will be back to let you know if it worked.

ok, so i deleted more than 8000 (!) comments, but the problem still exists. i still draw a blank page when i try to change the options for discussion… i can’t post neither, blank pages.

i can get in the options.php pages and read the code, but have no idea what to change in that code in order to make the changes…

it’s close to midnite, have to go offline, but will check back tomorrow and hope someone can help me and finds a solution.

Please help was trying to upload new theme fotr my new website eharker.com and now it comes up blank it used to have the classic and default theme now it has nothing at all in the themes section. It does have an Warning array_slice (function.array slice) The first arrgument should be array in home/eharker/public_html/wp-admin/themes.php on line 52. then another similar one (because I tried several times to upload theme and that one says ksort90 expects parameters 1 to be array, boolean given in/home/eharker/public_html/wp-admin/themes.php on line 33….. I am very new to this and am TOTALLY confused can anyone help me??? Thanks Elizabeth Harker
