    i have logged onto my blog in the public section and i have the ability to edit posts from there, so i assume that means anyone can do this as well.

    can you please tell me how i protect my posts?

    Did you log in as admin? Admin can edit all posts. Other users can edit the posts of users of lesser level – so a level 5 user can edit posts of user levels below that.

    Those edit tags will only display when you are logged in as the author of the post(s).

    I logged onto

    whch is the public URL and from there i see and edit link and if i click it i can go into the ost and edit it.

    Once again as macmanx said above: the “edit” link is visible only when you are logged in. Visitors cannot see it.
