• I’ve generated an SSL certificate for my site and added the Ecwid shopping cart. However, my site’s bookstore gives me a broken padlock. In FIrefox I right click and “view Page Info” to see the non-https links.

How do I fix these? Some are my images and some are Ecwid’s. I added the Plug HTTPS WordPress plug-in and forced the HPPTS on the bookstore, but it’ still not working.

    Please help.

Update. It appears I fixed the Ecwid issue when I view the “View Page Info” and the only non-https item is my theme

    https://sherrymonahan.com/wp-content/themes/2010-weaver/images/gr.png

How do I make this https for my bookstore page without slowing my whole site?

    Thanks again,

    Sherry

    1. If you use Ecwid on a secure page, it is necessary to enable the “Secure page” option in the plugin’s settings. After that Ecwid will start to use HTTPS to load all resources, scripts and images.

    2. In order to fix the problem with the image it is necessary to modify your WordPress theme and replace the absolute link with a relative one.

    E.g.

    https://sherrymonahan.com/wp-content/themes/2010-weaver/images/gr.png

    ->

    /wp-content/themes/2010-weaver/images/gr.png

I do have this checked in the Ecwid Plug-in:

    Advanced
Enable the following option, if you use Ecwid on a secure HTTPS page Information about Ecwid and SSL/HTTPS

Do you know where I will find the code to replace the absolute code with the relative? I have no idea what absolute and relative are. ??

    Thank you.

    Yes, I meant this option.

Hmm, I’ve just checked your store and haven’t found any issues with the broken padlock.
Do you still reproduce the problem?`

Wow. You are exactly correct. I was out for a couple of hours and didn’t even look to see.

    Thanks!

Now if someone at Ecwid could help me solve my tax issue I could open for business! ??

    thanks,

    Sherry

In case you can help, here’s my thread from FB:

I need to be able to calculate state taxes, along with the 2-3% variation each county adds.

We will answer there soon : -)
