    Hi David,

What do you mean ‘in my reporting’?
You have custom reports in GA?
Currently the WooCommerce product ID is being added to the data being sent to GA since SKU is not a mandatory fields and can be empty.

Do you think it would be OK if I would add product SKU instead of ID and fallback to ID if there is not SKU added to a product?

Yes, the ecommerce reports inside GA. I think your idea of using product ID as a fallback works great.

If someone has a SKU they assign, it may be more meaningful to them than the product ID Woocommerce assigns. Looking at the product ID I am going to need to figure which product it references.

For those with only a few products, it’s easy to memorize which ID belongs to which product, but imagine a site that has even 20 or more (or hundreds)…they would need to set up a key to decipher the product ID, making the GA report less efficient. But with a SKU, they can name it meaningful and know exactly which product it references right inside GA.

I managed GA for a hotel client. We actually used the field to pull in date of arrivals. It’s so versatile

Thanks again for the great plugin. It has been truly helpful in getting my tracking off the ground with GTM.

Hi I installed the plugin to enable ecommerce tracking, but still does not work, moreover currently for every page visited (visible with real time report) I see three pages instead of one.

    My website is https://www.herbashop.it

    Thanks

    Hi Omar,

Next time please open a new topic if your question is not a followup of an existing topic. Thanks!

Your GA pageview is firing multiple times because you included a GA tag in your GTM setup but you also have a directly added GA tag in your website. There is a hard coded GA snippet right at the end of the <head> tag. Maybe another plugin adds it or there is a setting in your theme that adds this hard coded snippet. You should remove this and you will be fine with your GTM.

Thanks a lot duracelltomi, in fact my friend added the GA tag directly by code a year ago, so I must remove it to have a correct pages count.
Anyway the problem with the e-commerce tracking still remain since I have no one conversion.

I checked you site with a test order: #2459
As far as I can see details about the order are being sent to GA. Please check that this transaction can be seen in your GA report within 24 hours.

Also please check that you enabled enhanced ecommerce in your GA settings as well.

There might be an issue with PayPal as well: you should enable auto return in PayPal’s settings to force users to return to your site after payment or else you will not track orders payed using PayPal.

Thanks a lot duracelltomi in effect I’m able to see the orders payed via bank transfer, but not the ones payed via Paypal. I forced the return to site from Paypal as suggested, now I will test it ??

    Thanks for your support.

    P.s. I will invalidate the order ??
