• Does content egg use https to connect to Ebay API. It will be required as of Oct 1, 2019.

Here’s the message I received from Ebay. What method does content egg use?

    Hi Scott,

eBay is making a critical update to our Finding API.

Before October 1, all partners must update their API requests to only use HTTPS service endpoints. After that point, all Finding API calls with HTTP endpoints will fail.

Before you update your application to use HTTPS endpoints:
? Ensure your application hosting platform/provider supports HTTPS
    ? Test the HTTPS connection
Both our sandbox and production environments support HTTPS, so either can be used for testing. You should also check the eBay Developers Program website to confirm whether any other APIs you use also support HTTPS.

Learn more about service endpoints when making an API call.

We will send you a final reminder one week before we stop supporting requests with HTTP endpoints.

Feel free to contact us at [email protected] with any questions.

Also, if you are not the person who would typically make changes like this to your site, please forward this email to whomever can act on this urgent update.

We appreciate your help in continuing to ensure eBay is a secure and trusted marketplace.

    Sincerely,

    eBay Partner Network
