• We’re a group in the process of migrating our site to a plain WordPress+BuddyPress setup. We currently have the beta tester plug-in installed, as we need the 3.0 version for an essential plug-in. We are still weighing our options for 2.9.2.

We’re in a rush, so we might choose to go live with a v3.0 Beta2/RC1 + Beta Tester site. Question is, when WP3.0 Stable is out, will we be able to easily upgrade to the stable, remove Beta Tester and be just like any other stable install without any sneaky Beta Tester remains or otherwise ‘development code’ lying around somewhere?

Would it be an option to simply install RC1 without the Beta Tester, and as RC2 and Stable comes out we will get to easily upgrade to these without using the Beta Tester? Same thing?
