A hammer is a pretty easy thing, but there are a lot of things which are not that easy to do with a hammer.

If you need a simple 3 fields form, then ECF is probably not for you.

ECF is good when it is necessary to create a set of well protected, comprehensive forms, which use data validation and instant user input error response features.

ECF is designed to create complex things easily.

And what does “doesn’t look good right out of the box” mean? Is it supposed to read your mind and style itself according to your wishes?

Also, if you are incapable of figuring out how to use the plugin on your own the authors made video tuts on it.
