Easy Digital Downloads / cookie exclusions

I’m having an issue with Easy Digital Downloads where the “Purchase” buttons won’t work unless the entire page is excluded from cache… which doesn’t really work since the buttons are on my home page.

I’ve tried to get it to bypass the cache by editing /wp-content/advanced-cache.php and including “edd_items_in_cart” in the cookies exclusion. But it doesn’t seem to work.

Has anyone encountered this with EDD before? Any suggestions?
