Easel background change

I’m new to WP. I just tried to get rid of the background image using the Easel Theme. In my dashboard I didn’t change the image, I just changed the background color. when I reload the page it shows the blue background color for half a second then loads the picture. how do i delete the default picture so the blue background color will show? thanks in advance. Also, where is the search function to be able to search all prior threads associated with my issues? It’s gotta be here but the only one I see is at the top right of the page. thanks.
