    Hello.
I am having a challenge with users’ avatars showing up under quests that they have not earned yet. We just upgraded to the latest version of BadgOS (1.3.4). This is when this started to be a problem (yesterday). We had other quests up (tied to an overarching badge that requires steps to earn) and did not experience this problem.

When I check off “do not show to earners” the “people who have earned this” avatars go away.

When looking at the users’ accounts who supposedly earned the badges, it does not show the badges awarded to those users.

When looking at the “activity” feed (running the community add-on), it does not show these users earning the badges either.

    Thoughts?
    Thanks.

Thanks so much. I will check it out in the coming weeks. Thanks for the tips on activation as well:) Ps. Has anyone else tested it and found it works for them for the issue above?
    Best,
    Sarah

I have a bit of time to test this before the next semester starts up…

Michael: Is that link still good? Or has this change been incorporated into the 1.4.4 release?

Tamritz: Have you had a chance to poke around with this new code? Any success?

    kcurisjr,

the fix referenced has not been officially merged into BadgeOS core, so the link here, https://cl.ly/0o1X1a3W441R would be needed to test it. Note that i haven’t updated the zip or anything to match the 1.4.4 release either, so it will still say 1.4.3.

Thanks for being willing to help confirm.

    kcurlsjr,
I have not tried the fix, unfortunately. I had some learners in the space and I didn’t want to mess with what was already working. I am definitely interested in hearing how it goes though! Please let us know!

    Hi,
I am having this issue as well. I am a bit nervous on trying this on my live site since I have quite a number of people working through it. Any idea when this will be part of the main plugin?
    Thanks!

It’ll be in there officially quicker once we get some confirmation done.

dee987, have you already updated to the 1.4.4 version? I’d be willing to “hotpatch” your copy if you really want, otherwise I totally understand the hesitation.

    Hi Michael,
I am definitely interested in the hotpatch – has anyone run into complications with it?

My site is in week 2 of a 23 week challenge (https://23things.neflin.org/) so it would be great to get this sorted out. I am on version 1.4.4.

    Is this the correct hotpatch?

    thanks for helping!

That link is a copy of what was 1.4.3 with the fix applied.

Which method would you prefer? temporary access to the website as an admin so I can edit the appropriate file(s)? or do you want a hotpatched copy of 1.4.4 so you can upload that yourself?

    Michael,
I can give you temporary access to fix the issue. Do you want to email me directly? My email is [email protected]

Applied. Let me know if that clears up the false positives.
