    Hi,

My website has flagged up this issue with the plugin and put my dashboard into recovery mode. Are you able to assist with a solution?

An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 36 of the file /wp-content/plugins/editorplus/extensions/post-options/index.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected ‘?’

    Many thanks,
    Craig

    Hi @craigitcs,

Thanks for reaching out to the support.

This is Munir here, I will try to help to resolve your issue.

I am unable to reproduce the issue you describe. Could you please provide some more info so that I can try to replicate it?

Kindly follow these steps to get me the needed info, please.

    1. Install & Activate ‘Health Check Plugin’ from the WordPress plugin directory.
    2. Copy the site info by going to the site health’s info screen (see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/6quYmDbm).
    3. Paste that info in your response here ( exclude any sensitive info ).

That will provide me the details of your website (like themes, plugins in use, etc). Hopefully, that can help me replicate your issue.

    Regards,
    Munir

    Hey @craigitcs

Thank you for providing the requested info. I’ve tried to replicate the same instance as yours but couldn’t get the error (thankfully).

I would request you to debug it further on your website, please. As you have already installed the ‘Health Check Plugin’, kindly enable ‘Troubleshooting Mode’ from its settings admin page.

“Troubleshooting allows you to have a clean WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your users until you disable it or log out.”

Once activated, kindly enable Editor Plus to see if it still gives you the error, if not, continue enabling other plugins until you get the error to find out the conflicting plugin. Also try activating your theme again in troubleshooting mode to see if it has any issue with that, instead.

Let me know how it goes.

    Regards,
    Munir
