    Hi,

I went to update a product image this morning and my site crashed. The error I am receiving is:

Please help? What do I need to do to fix my woocommerce plugin. It is currently paused. Although… there seems to be no failures on the site as viewable by the public. Thanks, Robert

Also, when I attempt to update the database which I am notified to do from my Dashboard it either crashes the site or tells me I don’t have access to do this?

    Thank you for your help!

Part of the update to WooCommerce 4.0+ involves adding a few new database tables. Based on that error message, it appears that these tables were not able to be created. Most often this happens when the “database user” that WordPress is utilizing doesn’t have permission to create these tables.

You can check the permissions this database user has in the web host’s control panel. Make sure this user can create tables. Then you can temporarily disable WooCommerce and activate it again. That will trigger the creation of any mission tables. Once that has happened, the update should be able to continue.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
