E_COMPILE_ERROR – Failed Opening Required

    No problem with the plugin till yesterday. Facebook for wordpress was deactivated automatically. If I activate it site goes down immediately. Any ideas what it may be?

    The error message:

    E_COMPILE_ERROR line 140 file /var/www/vhosts/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/facebook-for-woocommerce/facebook-for-woocommerce.php.

    require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/var/www/vhosts/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/facebook-for-woocommerce/vendor/skyverge/wc-plugin-framework/woocommerce/class-sv-wc-plugin.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/pear/:’)

    WordPress version 5.7.2
    Theme: Avada
    Facebook for WooCommerce (version 2.5.1)
    PHP Version 7.4.18

  • Hi @pareklinon ,

    It seems that the files of Facebook for WooCommerce plugin on your site might have been corrupted, which is why it’s resulting in the “E_COMPILE_ERROR”. Could you please delete the plugin and then re-install it?

    Thanks @wpnomad for the quick reply!

    Meanwhile, after deleting the plugin, I re-installed the previous version 2.5.0 and it worked! Now I updated back to 2.5.1 and works as a charm!
