Hi, I’m having problems configuring WP-mail SMTP to make e-mails send to a g-Suite inbox. I’ve installed, activated and configured to the specs provided by the host and the test e-mail does appear in the cpanel mail inbox (webmail). Unfortunatly, it does not show in the gmail in G-Suite. The domain name is in this format : https://www.mydomain.com. I’ve decided to use other SMTP in the mailer choices offered in WP mail SMTP. I dont know where the problem is and why it is not working. Can you help?

  • Hi Guillaume, Can you receive other emails into your gsuite account or is it only test emails coming from your website that are routed incorrectly?

    Hi @guillaumecrete

Could you please check whether you have proper DKIM / SPF records set up on your domain. You can read this post on our sister project with all the details on how to investigate the SPAM issue: https://optinmonster.com/11-reasons-why-your-emails-go-in-the-spam-box-and-how-to-make-sure-they-dont/

Check the section “Spam Filter Testing and Spam Checkers” on the above post.
https://www.mail-tester.com/ and/or https://www.isnotspam.com/ might help to identify the problem.

    Thanks!

    Hi @dberdal ,

Emails sent with email software like Outlook, gmail, mail… are all being received. Only the ones comming from the WPforms that are not routed correctly.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Hi @guillaumecrete,

    Thanks for the additional information.

Could you please try forcing your WP Mail SMTP -> Settings, and see if that helps (see). This will ensure that your WPForms notifications are being routed through your WP Mail SMTP authenticated email address.

    Thanks!

Ok I’m back. Sorry for the long delay. It is now fixed… finnaly.

My DKIM / SPF records were not set. I red the references you gave me and managed to set it right but it still didn’t work. To make a very long story… short, the mail routing settings in my host server were not set right. They were set to local exchange instead of automatic so it detects where the email server is pointing.

Anyway, I’m glad it’s all working now.

    Thanks.
